Funding and Partnerships
GLOF-II Project’s funding source is the Green Climate Fund.
The project’s key implementing partners include the Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination (MoCC&EC); Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD); the Provincial Disaster Management Authorities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) & Gilgit Baltistan (GB), and the Departments for Planning & Development (KP & GB)
Women’s participation is at the core of the project’s efforts. Currently, 123 women serve as members of Community-Based Disaster Risk Management Committees (CBDRMCs), while 396 women have been trained as part of the Hazard Watch Groups. Their leadership is essential in mainstreaming the voices of women and girls, promoting gender-inclusive disaster risk management, and ensuring equitable access to climate resilience programmes
